DVBBS DROPPED FROM FESTIVAL LINEUP FOLLOWING DRESSING ROOM INCIDENT

The DVBBS controversy surrounding the discovery of several unconscious girls in their dressing room after their performance at Balaton Sound Saturday night is continuing to develop. Initial reports placed two unconscious women in the artists’ dressing room, found after the event had concluded. Reports yesterday seem to suggest, however, that as many as six women were in the room when festival staff entered; three were unconscious and the remaining three fled before authorities could arrive.

Now, Hungarian festival Sziget has effectively dropped the DJ duo from their upcoming lineup.

Both members of the group, and one of their male friends, failed on-the-spot drug tests after the initial incident, leading to a questioning by local police. All three were charged with possession of narcotics, but were soon released from custody.

DVBBS issued a statement to Billboard on Tuesday in regards to the allegations.

“We are shocked that some attendees of the Balaton Festival (sic) were victims of events which got them hospitalized. Police asked our cooperation for the investigation and of course we did what we could. Police confirmed there isn’t any link between us and what happened, that’s why we took off a couple of hours later to our next gig in ibiza. There is another case going on independently from this in connection with marijuana and we gladly answer all questions regarding this and help the police to solve the case. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
