It has the potential to be a hit song of the summer of 2017. “I was working on many songs in the last couple of months, for myself and for other artists”, says Alek, “but ‘Ride’ stood out. It is the first solo single I released after being on VIP Brother last year”.
In the video, we see Alek ride all kinds of vehicles, from cars, bikes, skateboards and motorcycles to airplanes, tractors and a horse. Bulgarian celebrities Santra, Gloria and Sara Sergey accompany him on these vehicles.
Alek, is a multi-talented artist, having previously written and produced for many of the biggest hits of Bulgaria. He has written songs such as Galin’s “5, 6, 7, 8” and “Parata ako Hvana”, which won “Hit of the Year” at the Bulgarian Music Awards by Planeta TV last year. He has also produced music for Universal Music Germany and Payner Music Bulgaria.
After Alek’s latest solo single, the sex-centric dance anthem “P.O.R.N.” feat. Amanda Lepore, the New York-LA-Berlin-globetrotter spent some time in his home country, where his fame level exploded during ‘Celebrity Big Brother Bulgaria’. “It was a great experience and I would do it again and again. The first few weeks after the show, absolutely everyone on the streets recognizes and relates to you. You are as famous as the president”, Alek jokes. According to 24 chasa, a leading Bulgarian newspaper, “Alek Sandar achieved a level no other Bulgarian has achieved yet.”
Being raised in Germany, based in New York, and constantly traveling to perform at places like Terminal 5, Webster Hall, NDK, and Sofia Live Club, Alek now wants to have his fans “Ride” along with him. “If I am the one, come ride, ride, ride”, he sings.
