Available today on Next Wave Records is “Call” featuring English singer Cheney, a highly anticipated original production in the wake of a slew of remixes that demonstrated his acute ear for subtleties. On his rework of Mutemath’s “Monument,” Kasbo retained the vibes that make the calming indie electronic track shimmer, elevating it with high peaks of crystalline bass lines and beats that crescendo on the chorus. Similarly, Kasbo’s remix of “The Little Things” by Big Gigantic utilized contrasts in pace to emphasize the beauty of sound, shifting from a quiet peace into a loud, powerful chorus.
