Music From Up & Coming Artists You Have To Listen

Diaz Grimm – Quarterbacks

After working solidly for almost a year on new music, Diaz Grimm is proud to share his second album with the world, titled 2077.

A continuation from his apocalyptic debut OSIRIS, the new album is set in the year 2077 where the last survivors have left Earth, creating a new society governed by common sense rules. In equal parts a concept album and a very real commentary on how dark our world has become, this record is driven by positivity and love, and people finding strength in each other.

Following up his debut release OSIRIS was no mean feat for Grimm, having earned himself a nomination for Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album at the 2015 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awardss, and discovering he was the first self managed unsigned New Zealand artist to perform at SXSW in March 2016 rounded off an exceptionally busy and successful year. The travels and experiences that came along the way hugely inspired him to forge the culture of 2077, resulting in an incredibly strong collection of tracks filled to the brim with imagery.

2077 is the sophomore album from Diaz Grimm, and is the second part in a series from the artist.

Kady Rain – R.A.D. Moves (Dammak Remix)

“R.A.D. Moves” (Dammak Remix) is a remix of the lead track from Kady Rain’s upcoming debut EP All I Ever Wanted (to be released independently August 26).

About the remixer: Dammak, born Damjan Mlakar, is a 17 year old producer whiz kid from Slovenia. Having started production two years ago after being inspired by artists like Hardwell, Blasterjaxx, and Martin Garrix, Dammak quickly made a name for himself after winning several remix competitions, most notably Keep Music Lowkey and Bang The House.

Tokyo Machine – Okay

As his second release under the mystery moniker, Tokyo Machine continues to make his mark amongst the Monstercat imprint’s roster. And with equal amount of energy in “Okay” as there was in “Party”, we are sure that there will be plenty more adrenaline pumping singles to come.

nevin – Blind

Blind is the first song released by nevin, entirely recorded and produced in his basement in Washington DC. There’s not a single synthesizer used in this song, only guitar audio and drum/808 samples.

From “Zita”

a Hungarian violinist, composer, arranger, and at this point I guess even a producer. I began my musical studies at the age of 10 years. After classical music I attended three years of jazz, but not really become a jazz musician. I love the improvisation, but only as a part of music, not as the center of it. After collaborating with many great artist ( Zucchero, Billy Branch and many others ) I decided to make an own project. Since finding the right producer seemed too complicated ( if not impossible ) I began to produce my music myself. After working for many years in Dance studios I have some knowledge how to use music softwares and really love to work on electronic. I hope you’ll like the result ( and share something on your blog ) . Thank you so much All the best Zita

Cassandra Michaels – Let’s Go

With talent that was once discovered in a small Midwestern town, Cassandra Michaels’ world is so much more lively, dignified, and passionate since she decided to step outside of her comfort zone to truly embrace herself. Once known to her 200,000 plus fan base as an adorable pop princess, Cassandra is now coming into her truth as she matures along with her music, style, and audience. With a new project on the horizon, Cassandra is no longer thinking; she is living. While the music is still pop, the feeling is now imperfection, truth, sensuality, and everything else that defines the essence of womanhood. “The music is edgier and grittier. “She’s all in.”

Fans old and new will begin to not only hear her heart, but they will also feel her soul. Her new song “Let’s Go“ is that killer club song that forces you to lose control and do exactly as the song suggests. Just as Cassandra has learned to let go, take more risks, and just live, her music has also come to life in a way that breathes liberation. Singer/Songwriter illuminates from her spirit, passion has always been her persona, and the girl-next-door is now the fearless femme fatale. It’s time for the world to know Cassandra Michaels.
